Commemorating 125 years of authentic British jewellery design with our new OPEIA jewellery collection, this celestial-inspired range of elegant jewellery creations includes designs like this pair of OPEIA diamond and ruby stud earrings. Designed in the same way as other creations from the same collection, these OPEIA earrings are inspired by soaring comets and majestic shooting stars formed by round brilliant-cut diamonds and gemstones. These formations are represented in clusters of five to mark the five bright stars seen in each design – five generations of Berry’s Jewellers. The collection takes its name from Cassiopeia – a constellation found in the Northern sky that was named after Queen Cassiopeia, mother of Andromeda. The negative inverted space inside each circle earring also forms a five-pointed star shape. These OPEIA earrings have been crafted from polished 18ct white gold and showcase 5 captivating round brilliant-cut ruby gemstones. Each ruby is followed by a trail of graduating round brilliant-cut diamonds that then connect to the next red ruby. The white gold diamond and ruby stud earrings attach to the ears with a classic post and butterfly fastening and can be paired with many other creations from the OPEIA collection. The rubies carefully selected for this unique pair of OPEIA earrings amount to a total weight of 1.07 carats whilst the diamonds weigh 0.38 carats. They also have a colour and clarity grading of G and VS.
